Day 1: Braga and Guimarães
Start your north-of-Portugal road trip in the city of Braga, known as the "Portuguese Rome" due to its impressive religious architecture. Day 3: Douro Valley

In the afternoon, head to the city of Lamego and visit the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, one of the most emblematic places in the North of Portugal , with ornate staircases and lush gardens. End the day with dinner at a local restaurant, where you can taste the traditional cuisine of the Douro region.
